Seating around 1,000 (depending on configuration), the Corn Exchange is a Grade II listed building found in the heart of town. Until the early 19th century, local corn merchants traded here. Major restoration work took place in the 1970s and now it welcomes an eclectic programme of comedy, music, sporting events, festivals and conferences.

Theatre Royal is a vibrant 200-year-old theatre located in the beautiful Suffolk town of Bury St Edmunds. First built in 1819, it was restored to its original Regency design in 2007 and is a Grade I listed building. It seats 360 people and is the only theatre in the National Trust portfolio and the last working Regency Playhouse in the country.

Haverhill Arts Centre, built in 1882 as the Town Hall, was established as a performance venue in the 1990s and offers a varied schedule of theatre, cinema, comedy, music, pantomimes and dance performances. There is a café on site and the seated auditorium has a capacity of 210.

The Quay Theatre is a professional arts centre located in the Suffolk town of Sudbury. Occupying a Grade II-listed building nestled by the River Stour, the venue hosts a wide range of entertainment including drama, live music, comedy and film. The Eastern Angles Theatre Company performs at The Sir John Mills Theatre which is situated within the groups centre on Gatacre Road. The room is a flexible studio space ideal for rehearsals, theatre performances, filming etc. The theatre seats a maximum of 120 people in traverse and 80 people end on.

The Salem Chapel was constructed in 1812 and, after its religious use ended, it was neglected and eventually became a store for Ipswich Museum. In the early 1990s, the New Wolsey converted it into a theatre of around 100 seats to complement its larger ‘main house’. This studio theatre was then taken over by The Gallery Players in 2021 and their first show - The Mystery of Edwin Drood - took place that September.

Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall
Built in 1887 by local businessman Newson Garrett to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee, the hall was intended for “concerts and dramatic entertainments, and for ‘the grown-ups’ in the evenings”. Ever since then, the hall - which seats 236 - has offered a wide variety of performances.

Southwold Arts Centre
(previously St Edmunds Hall)Built in the 1930s, the original building was severely damaged by a bomb during the war. The hall was then rebuilt and opened in 1952, with a new foyer and meeting rooms added in the 1990s. Today it offers cinema style, raked seating for 100, and a further 120 flat seating area towards the stage.
